Review of Dishonoured

I felt for Dan. 

The man has lost his job, his family, his home. I can only imagine the emotions that are rolling through him. 

Now left with a criminal record, (I'll let you read the novel to find out why) and coping with community service whilst living out of a hotel room, it is like he has nothing left to live for but everything to fight for.

I'm not sure what I would have done if I had been in the same position but I could certainly see why this seemingly down-trodden protagonist was making the decisions he was making, the attempts to try and gain the upper hand in such an unusual situation.

Jem has a unique way of writing because although as with all crime books we are still searching for the answer to who done it, in these stories the answer is so well hidden, you literally won't see the answer until it is right in your face.

The shock factor is 100 percent and beyond!

I wish you could have seen my face as I was reading the last third of the book. All I can say is well played my friend, well played.

Although Dishonour is different to Tugwell's previous novels in the sense that is more life as we know it rather than something more futuristic, it still has the same edge of your seat momentum to it.

Intense, interesting and insanely well written. A highly recommended read.
